Vernissage of Panorama 21: Screening of Dana, Carnival, and Tzompantli.

I’d like to invite you to the screening of my last film DANA, CARNIVAL AND TZOMPANTLI  during the annual exhibition of Le Fresnoy – National Studio named Panorama 21. This film is about Dana Karvelas, a Mexican transvestite that goes to the north of France to relieve the pain of the loss of her mother and thus answer the question: Both in the carnival and in the face of death, are we not all the same?

This film was shooted both in Mexico and France, through my work, I try to understand the human condition, as well as its contradiction, fragility, and ambiguity in the face of complex facts such as gender, migration, memory, and death.
