Francisco Letamendia Professor Emeritus Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea – Portrait

I met Professor Letamendia at the Saint-Sernin Neighborhood in Toulouse. I looked at him asking if he is Arturo Ripstein, Mexican film director, but with a smile he said he only watch the films of Emilio “El Indio” Fernández, director of the film Maria Candelaria (1944), which won the Palme d’Or award at the 1946 Cannes Film Festival.
